
The Joint Geospatial Agency (EGI) is the Ministry of the Armed Forces’ lead military agency for geospatial affairs. As the successor to the Armed Forces Geospatial Service, it plays a strategic role in the production, validation, management, and dissemination of geospatial data for all branches of the French armed forces.
The EGI is responsible for the development and management of digital geographic reference data, the management of the Armed Forces’ map repository, and the distribution of geographic products essential to the planning and conduct of military operations.
