The Company


The Joint Geospatial Agency (EGI) is the Ministry of the Armed Forces’ lead military agency for geospatial affairs. As the successor to the Armed Forces Geospatial Service, it plays a strategic role in the production, validation, management, and dissemination of geospatial data for all branches of the French armed forces.

The EGI is responsible for the development and management of digital geographic reference data, the management of the Armed Forces’ map repository, and the distribution of geographic products essential to the planning and conduct of military operations.

Objectives & Challenges


The Challenge

The Joint Geospatial Agency (EGI) is responsible for producing, validating, managing, and distributing all geospatial data and products for use by all branches of the military.

Given the diversity and complexity of its assets, EGI sought to improve:

  • Monitoring the activities of production lines and related activities that affect team workloads;
  • Project management and monitoring;
  • The preparation of reports, whether operational or managerial.

Selection process

After evaluating various solutions, EGI decided to conduct a two-year trial of the Tabsters solution to digitize the tracking of its activities.
