The Company

A pioneer in “eating better” for five generations, Fleury Michon has been committed since 1905 to offering products that are delicious, safe, balanced, and accessible to as many people as possible. As a medium-sized, family-owned, and independent food company, Fleury Michon is a market leader in deli meats, prepared foods, and seafood products. The Group is also expanding internationally with deli products, fresh prepared meals, rotisserie items, and sandwiches sold through mass-market retailers, as well as frozen meals for airline catering.

As the third-most-purchased brand in France, Fleury Michon operates in a demanding industrial, logistical, and commercial environment, where the ability to manage projects, plan resources, and monitor team contributions is critical to supporting internal transformations.

Since 2022, Fleury Michon’s IT department has been using Tabsters to supplement its existing systems and streamline the management of its project portfolio, task planning, and time tracking.

Challenges & Objectives

Background

Fleury Michon's IT department wanted to supplement its ServiceNow tool, used for ticketing, with a solution dedicated to project and project portfolio management.

The goal was to have an environment that would allow us to track projects, plan tasks and resources, and integrate employee time tracking for both projects and support assignments.

Before Tabsters was implemented, viewing workload plans required significant consolidation efforts, making it harder to immediately gauge available capacity and the workload assigned to business teams. The IT department needed a more cross-functional, reliable, and quickly actionable overview to manage its operational capacity.

Key Issues

The main issues centered on:

  • the consolidation of projects and internal clients into a single platform;
  • the implementation of a more structured portfolio management process within the IT Department;
  • employees' time tracking for projects and support activities;
  • task and resource planning;
  • real-time visualization of workload plans;
  • reducing the time spent on data consolidation;
  • the implementation of automated workflows;
  • the standardization of project monitoring practices;
  • a cross-functional view of the IT department's capacity and the contributions requested from the business units.

Selection process

After benchmarking six solutions, Fleury Michon chose Tabsters for its flexibility, its no-code configuration capabilities, and its ease of use. The solution was also selected for its ease of administration, which allows teams to maintain a high degree of autonomy in configuring and evolving their management environment, without heavy reliance on the vendor.

How to Use Tabsters

Use cases
  • Management of the IT Department’s project portfolio;
  • Monitoring of projects and support activities;
  • Centralization of projects and internal clients;

  • Preparation of consolidated financial reports;
  • Cross-functional monitoring of the IT department's capacity.

Tabsters provides Fleury Michon with a shared environment for tracking projects, organizing information, and ensuring the reliability of the data needed for management. The solution complements the ServiceNow ticketing tool by providing a project- and portfolio-level view focused on planning, resources, time spent, and capacity. It enables teams to better align operational needs, available capacity, and IT department priorities. Thanks to real-time visualization of workload plans, teams can better anticipate availability, plan projects, and understand the contribution required from business units.

The solution is used by 100 users, including: project managers, IT department staff, portfolio managers, managers, teams involved in time tracking, resource planning and monitoring, and business stakeholders contributing to projects.
