Webviews guide

Webviews are a powerful Tabster feature that gives you endless possibilities for customizing your Tabsters environment.

Let's take a look at the different aspects that make it up

1 - Types of webviews

Depending on the Tabsters tab you're in, different types of webviews are available.

These different types of webviews are easily identified by the icon that precedes their name.

  • Dashboard:

    This type of icon is only available on the Dashboard tab of the various maps available in Tabsters.
  • List:

    This type of icon is only available on the Details tab of the various maps available in Tabsters.
  • Table:

    This type of icon represents table views in Tabsters. This type of view is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Gains, Budget, Alerts, Resources & Timesheet tabs of the various cards available in Tabsters.
  • Planning:

    This type of icon represents planning views in Tabsters. This type of view is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions & Meetings tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters.
  • Kanban:

    This type of icon represents table views in Tabsters. This type of view is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Gains, Budget & Resources tabs of the various cards available in Tabsters.
  • Graphics:

    This type of icon represents graphic views (or new graphics) in Tabsters. This type of view is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Earnings, Budget, Alerts, Resources, workload & burned tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters.
  • Pivot chart:

    This type of icon represents the pivot chart views (or old charts) in Tabsters. This type of view is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Earnings, Budget, Alerts, Resources, workload & burned tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters.
  • Cartography:

    This type of icon represents the cartography views in Tabsters. This type of view is available in the Roadmap tab of the various maps available in Tabsters.

2 - Display parameters

Different display settings are available, depending on the type of view you are viewing:

  • Edit:

    This parameter is only available on the Dashboard tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will take you into edit mode for your dashboard, allowing you to set it up as you wish.
  • Change display:

    This setting is available on the Details, Risks, Meetings, Budget, workload & burned tabs of the various cards available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will allow you to change the display to hide the graphic element present on the screen, or to hide/show the graphics for the workload & burned tabs.
  • Advanced options:

    This setting is available on the Details, Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Earnings, Budget & Resources tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will allow you to access the Rich Text (HTML) display options to limit the line height of HTML cells, and to meteo to select the desired icon type.
  • Choose columns:

    This parameter is available on the Details, Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Earnings, Budget, Alerts, Resources & Timesheet tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will allow you to define the columns you wish to be displayed on screen (setting only available for Table views).
  • Show thread:

    This setting is available on the Details tabs of the various cards available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will show/hide the thread.
  • Display level:

    This parameter is available on the Roadmap tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button allows you to change the display level of the project hierarchy shown on the screen (only available for Table views).
  • Filter:

    This parameter is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Gains, Budget, Alerts, Resources, burned, workload & Timesheet tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will allow you to define a filter on your view to display only the desired data, based on the fields available for the tab.
  • Sorting:

    ‍This
    setting is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Earnings, Budget, Alerts, Resources, burned, workload & Timesheet tabs of the various cards available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will allow you to define a sort on your view to order the data displayed, based on the fields available for the tab.
  • Formatting:

    ‍Thissetting is available on the Roadmap, Risks, Incidents, Decisions, Meetings, Earnings, Budget, Alerts, Resources, burned & workload tabs of the various maps available in Tabsters. Clicking on this button will allow you to define a defined formatting on the data displayed, based on the numeric-type fields available for the tab.

3 - The search bar

The search bar lets you search for values among the data in the various columns displayed on the screen.

4 - Webview options


Clicking on the three small dots to the right of the view label will open this pop-up with various options:

  • Rename view:

    Clicking on this option allows you to edit the view's label (Requires at least editing rights on the view).
  • Save view:

    Clicking on this option allows you to save the changes you have just made to your view, or to save a copy of the view with the changes you have made if the view is a generic or read-only view.
  • Save view as:

    Clicking on this option will allow you to create a personal duplicate of the view.
  • Delete view:

    Clicking on this option will allow you to delete the selected view (requires at least administrative rights to the view).
  • Unpin view:

    Clicking on this option will allow you to unpin the view, i.e. remove it from the pinned views side panel and place it in the unpinned views pop-up (Option only available on views not defined as the default view for the tab).
  • Share view:

    Clicking on this option allows you to share the view with other users (requires at least administrative rights to the view).
  • Set as default view:

    Clicking on this option will set the selected view as the default view for the tab.

5 - The pop-up of unpinned webviews

Clicking on the blue + button in the pinned views sidebar takes you to the pop-up of unpinned views, ordered by view type.

To pin a view, simply click on the blue pin button.

Here you'll find all your user's views that are not pinned, as well as any user views that have been shared with you.

6 - Export & import

  • Export data:

    Clicking on this option will allow you to export the data displayed in the tab as an Excel or PDF file, depending on which tab you are in.
