Release Note 9.12

Here you'll find the new features and fixes in the latest available version of Tabsters

, Version 9.12

Roadmap – Data Editing:

Tabsters offers an enhanced version of the Gantt chart, which lets you edit your column data directly from your schedule view!

Accessible from the advanced settings of a standard Gantt chart, this feature allows you to switch between the standard view and the “Tabsters Gantt” view.

This new version of the Gantt chart offers you many benefits, such as:

  • Edit your data directly from the schedule view: No more switching back and forth between the table view and the schedule view to update your data—just do it from the Gantt chart view!
  • Improved display performance and the ability to choose how many lines you want to see on a page (bottom right).
  • New advanced settings are now available, such as line height, block height, period/milestone display mode, text position, and milestone format. (The list will be expanded with each release to make it even more useful and will soon be included in the PPT export.)
  • Displaying the actual dates of parent items. Unlike the standard version of the schedule, which adjusts the display of the parent Gantt bars based on the dates of the child items, this version displays the bars for parent items using the actual dates for each level.
  • An auto-zoom feature that automatically adjusts your schedule across its entire time frame for better visibility.

This new version of Gantt does not yet include all the features of the classic version and is currently only in beta.
It will continue to evolve over time and will be enhanced with new configuration and usage features.

Timeline (Roadmap) – Editing Start and End Dates:

You can now edit both the start and end dates of an item at once using the "Timeline"field.

In fact, the Timeline field is now editable, and when you click on it, you’ll be taken to a calendar where you can manually select the start and end dates you want to apply to your item—in just two clicks:

  • Click once to select the start date
  • Then select the date you want to set as the end date and click a second time to set your end date.

Budget – Entered in k€ and M€:

Adjust the number of decimal places displayed to 2 for budget values when the display mode is set to K€ or M€ in the advanced settings

PPT Export / Communication – Improvements to the Tree, Schedule, and Dashboards:

  • When exporting the tree structure to PPT: The colors have been adjusted to make it easier to distinguish between the different levels of the project hierarchy within your slides
  • When exporting dashboards to PPT with an integrated schedule: The frequency of your schedule adjusts to the size of your mini-block
  • When exporting schedules to PPT: The legends are displayed on a white background for better visibility

Reference Fields (Roadmap Table) – Realignment:

As you implement your Roadmap, it is not uncommon for changes or adjustments to be made, which can cause a discrepancy between the values you entered in the fields and their corresponding reference values.

Tabsters now lets you realign the values in the MD Load MD Reference], Complexity [Reference], Start/End Date [Reference], Fixed Cost [Reference], and Profit [Reference] fields with the values in their“actual”fields.
To do this, from your Roadmap (Table View or Schedule View), simply click on the map icon showing your current location and select the“Realign References (based on actual items)”option.A selection pop-up will allow you to choose the [Reference] field(s) to realign.

Date Filter – Additional Options:

New custom options are now available for your filters on Date-type fields.
You can now find the options “Past/Next3 Months,” “Past/Next12 Months ,“Within the Rolling Year,”“Within the Rolling Half-Year,and“Next Year”in addition to the existing options.

Chart – Multiple Value Axis Display:

For "Multiple Values" axes in your charts, you can now choose whether to display the values for each group or for each unique value.
This setting is available in your chart's advanced settings under "Show Groups."
