Release Note 9.12

Check out the new features in Tabsters version 9.12 here

Dashboard – Data Editing:

Dashboards are evolving to let you modify the displayed data directly from the corresponding widget .

You no longer need to go to the corresponding tab to edit the displayed data; simply click on the mini-block to open the editing pop-up and make your changes in real time.
In addition, the selected mini-block expands to allow you to read all the information more easily (with no limit on the number of lines displayed).

(Note: Editing data from the mini-blocks follows the same rules as editing data from the tab.

Editing applies to the "table" and "kanban" view types. The "chart" and "Gantt" view types remain read-only.)

Drag & Drop (Roadmap) – Improvement:

Following up on the improvements made to the drag-and-drop feature, two new enhancements have been added:

  • Added the ability to drag and drop in the N-1 views of an item's map (e.g., project-level table views from a portfolio map, " workpackage " table views from a project map, etc.)
  • Added an option to reset the view order to its original order or the order saved for the item's card; this option is accessible via the three dots to the right of the view label for table views.

Tree Structure (Roadmap) – Line Delimitation:

In the roadmap, it is now possible to add a visual separator between each line using a new "Tree Border"setting in the advanced settings.

Two possible values:

  1. "Light"= the standard display without borders (default)
  2. "Lines" = with boundaries.

Error Banner – Floating Notifications:

The red error banner that displays errors encountered while using the Tabsters tool now appears as a floating notification and will disappear after 10 seconds, rather than remaining permanently at the top of your screen.

Filters – Clear All button:

The filter pop-up interface has been updated to more clearly indicate the two available filter types—filters and advanced filters—and a new“Clear All”button has been added to allow users to remove all applied filters with a single click.

Communication – Improving the Visual Presentation

The "Communication" tab interface now clearly distinguishes between PPT presentations for this item and PPT presentations inherited from higher levels (provided that any of their slides pertain to this item). Additionally, to avoid confusion, it is no longer possible to duplicate or delete inherited presentations.

[Reference Fields] Custom Fields – Adding a tooltip:

Users authorized to edit custom fields can now add a tooltip for each field. When the mouse hovers over the field, the tooltip displays a brief description of the field’s intended use or how to use it.

Miscellaneous news :

  • [Reference Fields] Custom Field – New aggregation type available:
    • A new aggregation setting is now available for your custom fields of the Number & Number per Period types.
Once this setting is enabled, the data entered in the child rows is aggregated at the parent row level, while still allowing data entry in the parent row (Similar to how the Budget field works, this makes it possible to set a budget at the parent row level that is larger than the sum of the child values).
    • This setting can only be configured manually by Tabsters at this time. Please contact your Tabsters representative or Tabsters support at support@tabsters.fr for more details.
  • [Contacts] Alerts – Customizable alerts:
    • You can now define custom alert messages for your environment to set up the verification rules you want , in addition to the existing internal alert rules.
    • This setting is currently managed by the Tabsters team; please contact Tabsters support at support@tabsters.fr
  • [Contacts] Formulas – Operational Improvements:
  • [Contacts] Notifications – Updates :
    • Several changes regarding notifications:
      • It is now possible to set up notifications for generic elements (elements contained in tabs that are not native to the environment).
      • A notification can be sent to multiple users at the same time using a multi-select field
      • Dates entered in custom date fields can be used in notification rules
      • Values in custom fields can now trigger notifications
  • [Reviewers] Profiles – Corrections:
    • Fixed the issue where the profile view disappeared when unpinned
    • Fixed an issue where certain favorites were displayed twice when the user already had the item bookmarked
  • Budget Tab – Entering and Displaying Budgets in K€ and M€ :
    • You can now choose how to enter and display your budget data using a new advanced setting called“Budget Currency Unit.”
    • You can now enter 10K or 10M to input the values 10,000 or 1,000,000, respectively.
Depending on the budget unit mode you select, the data displayed in your table will automatically be converted to K€ or M€.
  • Budget Tab – Budget Allocation to Resource :
    • The "Resource"field is now available on the Budget tab of your Tabsters element cards.
This field, along with the "Resource Type,"entity ” or“Department,”serves as a filter field for your budget submissions from the Roadmap.
  • Budget Tab – Adding Financial Gains :
    • It is now possible to enter financial gains directly in the "Budget" tab using the "Revenue" fields.
    • New fields—suchas “Expected Profit ,” “Projected Additional Profit ,” “Expected Profit [Reference],” “Total Realized Profit,”and so on—have been added to display profit data.
The“Business Case”chart now uses this profit data instead of the data from the Profits tab.
  • " burned " tab – Past Years' Courses:
    • A new " Year Overview " button is now available in the heatmaps on the burned MD for the various team and resource maps , allowing you to navigate back to previous years and access their data.
  • Resources Tab – Check-in & Check-out Dates :
    • The“Start Date” and“End Date”fields have been added to the Resources tab.
These fields allow you to set the resource’s start and end dates, respectively. Outside of the specified dates, resources are hidden from the drop-down lists and heat maps/charts for the team or resource grouping axis.
(Note: If no dates are entered, the resource remains visible. If only one date is entered, the current date is used.)
  • Workload Plan / Multi-Resource Capacity Plan (burned & Workload) – Display:
    • Review of the management rules for displaying the heat map when a large number of resources are present.
  • timesheet – Weekly data entry:
    • From the " timesheet" page, when viewing data for a specific week, you can now enter your consumption data on a weekly basis in the input field using the "Time of Week"option.Your entries are then distributed evenly across each available day of the week (advanced time distribution features are planned for a future version).
  • timesheet – New fields available:
    • The "Work Type,""Comment,"and "Description"fields have been made available at the " timesheet " level to allow this information to be passed down from tasks or generic data.
  • timesheet – Force the dates of the added rows:
    • Following the update that allows you to add time-entry rows from the timesheet, a new button is now available in the row-addition pop-up to force the dates to be within the current month.
    • If this setting is not enabled, the dates from the parent project are applied to the item (by default).
  • timesheet – Validation methods:
    • Following changes to the validation statuses for time sheet entries, two new fields have been added to the Environment Resources tab:
    • Validation Method Desired for this resource:
      • Simple validation, requiring only one validation step to change the status of a timesheet to "to be validated " (the "to be validated" and "validated" statuses are available). In this scenario, the user can directly change the status of their " timesheet " to "validated" without having to send it for pre-validation first
      • Double validation, requiring two validations to change the time sheet’s status to “to be validated” (statuses “to be validated,” “pre-validated,” and “validated” are available). In this scenario, the user must send their “ timesheet ” for pre-validation to their team leader so that the team leader can validate it.
      • No validation, which hides the validation statuses (default setting).
    • Type of audit Desired for this resource:
      • 100% Verification, requiring that the monthly occupancy rate be 100% to pre-validate/validate the timesheet
      • No verification required, allowing for pre-validation/validation without reaching 100% occupancy for the month (default value).
  • timesheet – Realignments :
    • Taking the user's specific calendar into account when calculating the monthly utilization rate as part of the validation of time sheets
    • Add public holidays for the years 2026 through 2030 to the Default calendar
  • Qualitative Data – Chart Showing Changes in Volume :
    • The "Volume Change " chart is now available in the chart views on the various qualitative data tabs(Risks, Incidents, Decisions, etc.).
    • This chart allows you to view the start and end dates of items , with cumulative data over time, based on the indicator of your choice and the start and end dates of the items.
  • Dependencies (Roadmap) – New fields for predecessor and successor statuses :
    • Two new fields,“Status (Predecessor)”and“Status (Successor),”are now available in the roadmap.
    • These fields display the status of elements designated as preceding dependencies and subsequent dependencies, respectively. If an element has multiple dependent elements, the status represents an aggregation of the various statuses.
    • These fields are also visible in the dependencies settings pop-up.
  • Roadmap Template – Accounting for Dependencies :
    • From now on, dependencies between elements are also taken into account in roadmap templates.
This allows you to map out your dependency paths, and they will be copied between the corresponding elements once the template is applied.
    • Only dependencies within the template are retained; any dependencies between elements within the template and elements outside the template will not be duplicated when the template is applied.
  • Axis Labels – Displaying the axis name:
    • On axis cards, the name of the axis to which the value belongs is now displayed in the axis card's breadcrumb trail , in the upper-right corner of the card label.

  • Legal Notices & Help Center:

    • The Help Center is now available in English, with automatic redirection for all users whose language is set to English or Spanish.
  • Quality of Life – Drop-down Menu Positioning:
    • Previously, drop-down lists positioned at the edge of the screen tended to extend beyond the screen's viewport. This behavior has been revised to optimize the positioning of these drop-down lists.
  • Resource Maps – Realignments:
    • Realignment of Resource Display at the Axis Map Level
    • Correcting the Display of Field Values in a Graphical View
  • PPT – Fixes:
    • Realignment of the display of milestone reference dates in PowerPoint's Gantt Chart view
    • Realignment of the export order of elements in table views
  • Communication – Unified Global Report Date Filter:
    • The date selection feature in the“Unified Global Report”slide template has been updated to give users more control over selecting dates and applying date offsets to the slide.
Users can now manually enter the number of weeks, months, or years to apply in the date offset filter.
